Another week, no blogging

Seriously. Where does my time go?

I only work part-time. I should have some time left over at the end of my day to sit down and blog about silly, meaningless stuff.

There is no excuse for my lack of blogging.

Except this - the days just get away from me.

And, nothing that exciting (or interesting) has been going on.

The most excitement I've had in the past 7 days is this: we got stuck in the grocery store last Friday night during a tornado warning. I don't recommend this to anyone. We had to stand in Aisle 10 (bread and coffee aisle) for about 25 minutes until the warning expired. Everyone in the store had to stand in this aisle - no one was allowed to shop. I didn't feel safe at all.

We also have a very large red oak tree -- which belongs to our neighbors -- currently stuck in our very large white oak tree. The neighbor's tree fell over last Friday during the same storm and is just lodged in our tree. One would have thought that our neighbors would have the common sense to get someone out there say, YESTERDAY (or maybe last weekend!), and cut the damn tree down.

Nope. It's been almost a week and it is still there. A nice 15-foot long section of our tree came crashing down Monday night, narrowly missing our fence (by about 2 inches).

I am hoping when I get home from work today that the tree has been cut down before it does any more damage to our oak tree.

  1. #1. It TOTALLY makes sense that the days get away from you. I too, have NO children, but still feel this way.

#2. Just because you aren't blogging doesn't mean that you don't WISH youw were. I love hearing your voice - so do it when you can.

#3. Your neighbors strike me as dense. Hello. Cut the tree down.

#4. Being stuck in a grocery store with strangers would flip me out. I'm sorry you had to experience that.
