Olivia is at the PERFECT age for Halloween. She loves to dress up in her princess costumes. And she was a pro when it came to ringing doorbells to take candy from strangers (which, as my brother-in-law pointed out, defeats the whole purpose of teaching our kids "Hey, don't take candy from strangers." Guess that rule needs to have a caveat: "Except on Halloween.")
We dressed the girls - Olivia as Cinderella, Emma as Tinkerbell - and headed out the door, leaving my parents to hand out candy (thanks for that!). After the first round of candy collecting, we all stopped home for shoe changes, potty breaks and candy deposits. My sister, bro in law and niece took over the passing out of candy, while Olivia gathered her daddy and papa for the second leg of her candy finding trip.
She refused to say "trick or treat" -- instead, she just looked cute and picked out her candy. Her daddy even taught her the classic "trick or treat, smell my feet..." But no, she relied on the cuteness to get her candy. It worked.
On her third, and final, trip through the neighborhood she took nana and papa with her. "Just eight or nine more houses" she told them.
Emma - well, she went to bed at 7 pm.

I bought those two dresses earlier this year for my daughter and neice. Very very cute.
