With one week to go 'til Halloween...I thought a holiday-themed "Food 4 Thought" was a good thing.
Appetizer: How much candy do you plan to pass out this Halloween?
Salad: How many decorations do you put up for Halloween? Just a few pumpkins or do you turn your front yard into a graveyard?
Main course: What is your costume for Halloween this year?
Dessert: What was your FAVORITE costume of all time?
OK...join in the fun.
1. I usually buy about 3 or 4 giant bags of candy from Sam's Club. I really think they bring car/bus loads of people to my neighborhood!
ReplyDelete2. We put up quite a few decorations - outside and inside. Plus we are carving 4 pumpkins this year.
3. No costume, unless stressed out
'soccer mom' counts. hahaha.
4. When I was a kid, my mom made me a princess costume and I loved it! As an adult, I think my favorite was either a flapper or a southern belle.
happy halloween!
1. None. No one comes to our neighborhood. :(
ReplyDelete2. Only a few small pumpkins that I buy, and I just keep them inside anyway! (no one can see the front of my house)
3. I've ALWAYS hated wearing costumes. So my freaky normal face will have to do this year.
4. I remember being barbie when I was little (those plastic KMart outfits!!!) As an adult, I enjoyed Cat in the Hat (big tall hat!) but I think I only enjoyed it b/c beer was involved. :)
1. Candy:
ReplyDeleteNo one really comes to our development because it is a bit isolated. I actually make candy bags for the 3 or 4 kids that live in our area and come over to our house. They have candy, stickers, fun stuff!
2. Decorations:
Not too much, but enough. We actually can't put anything in our yards (I am ok with this) so we have pumpkins out and then we have stuff inside and by our windows.
3. Costum:
I don't think we are going out this year.
4. Best Costum:
I loved the stuff my mom made for me when I was little. I want to learn how to sew and make costums for my kids one day.
1. We live out in the country so I give out candy in my mom's neighborhood while my kids are trick or treating- nice thing is that I don't have to buy the candy ;-)
ReplyDelete2. This is the first year in a loooong time I haven't decorated- didn't feel up to it.
3. I wear a Halloween shirt. My boys are into looking as scary as possible this year.
4. When my youngest son was three, a friend of mine sewed him a skunk costume (started with a black sweatsuit) That was the cutest costume ever!
1. Candy:
ReplyDeleteWe live just off of Main Street and a TON of kids come through trick-or-treat night. Usually, we take Little R. (and now J) out and R's mom passes out candy at our house. We usually get 2 big bags of the mix of smallish stuff (suckers, bubble gum, etc.).
2. Decorations:
Pumpkins from my uncle's pumpkin patch. This is the first year they are carved pumpkins! Little R. had a good time.
3. Costume:
I don't usually dress up and we haven't been to an adult Halloween party ever. Little R. is going to be a leopard (my brother's old costume that my mom made him way back when) and J is going to be a pumpkin. ;)
4. Best Costume:
Indian Princess. I remember I thought it up all by myself (are there REALLY such things as Indian Princesses? I don't know...) and I got to wear make-up for the first time! That was way better than the costume itself which I think was a white pillow case with holes for my arms and head that had red fringe sown on it that was red material that my mom ripped into strips. Hey, we weren't rich, but we were creative!
Appetizer: How much candy do you plan to pass out this Halloween?
ReplyDeleteI suck. I never do this.
Salad: How many decorations do you put up for Halloween? Just a few pumpkins or do you turn your front yard into a graveyard? Just a few.
Main course: What is your costume for Halloween this year? Medusa! So excited.
Dessert: What was your FAVORITE costume of all time? Elphaba (or the wicked witch of the west for those of you that don't know about WICKED).
OK...join in the fun.
