Had the new place inspected on Saturday.
Carpenter bees...that's our problem at the new place.
The wood trim around the house has these little, perfectly round holes in certain areas -- looks like someone took a drill and went crazy with it. But no, it would have to be wood destroying pests - it would be just our luck.
Apparently these nasty little critters bang their little bee heads on the wood until a hole appears and then they eat the wood and create little tunnels in which to lay their eggs. GROSS.
So, now we have to ask the seller to give us money so that we can (1) hire an exterminator to kill the eggs and larvae (UGH) and (2) hire a carpenter to fix the wood and repaint it with latex exterior paint (apparently the little bastards don't like latex).
Oh and we need a new sump pump. More money to get from the seller.
This is becoming very frustrating, not to mention, expensive.
Well, off to call an electrician.
