Springtime in Toledo

I hate springtime in Ohio.

Yesterday and Tuesday it was sunny and 70 degrees.

Gorgeous days.

I opened windows in the house. The furnace was turned off for the first time since, oh, October.

My tulips are coming up. The trees have buds on them.

We were actually able to leave the house without coats on --- we took the girls to the park in our neighborhood.

And then, it happened.

Last night, it snowed.

Yeah, that's right. SNOWED.

OK....it was a light dusting of snow. But it's still snow. And now, it's cloudy, 32 degrees and spring is nowhere to be found. Winter still has its icy grip on northwest Ohio....probably until June.

Which is precisely why I hate springtime in Ohio.
