I work in an office with no windows. It's not so bad right now...my co-worker across the hall occassionally leaves his door open so if I lean back far enough in my chair I can catch a glimpse of the cold, gray northwest Ohio winter.
I can handle an office with no windows.
What is making me crazy right now is the fact that my office vibrates.
The wall nearest my desk literally VIBRATES. It makes an odd noise. I'm afraid the shelves hung on that wall are going to, one day, come crashing down around me.
Why does my office vibrate? Because directly next door to my window-less office is the mechanical room that houses the HVAC stuff. And since the heat must be on, my office must vibrate. Same thing in the summer when the A/C is on.
I suppose it's a small price to pay to stay warm while working, but the noise might just make me crazy.
