And on to 2008....

Well, happy New Year's Eve to all!

Personally, I think the whole New Year's Eve thing is highly over-rated. But that's another post completely.

We have no big party plans for tonight. We're running errands all day, and then staying home tonight with the kids and eating snack food -- our own "mini party". Yep, the excitement is rather overwhelming, dontcha think?

And resolutions? Well, I don't do those either. Sure I think about what I'd LIKE to do in the new year...but I don't make any "official" resolution list. Perhaps if I did, I'd actually stick to them...but then again, I have enough lists...I don't need one more.

My "big 3" highlights for 2007:

- Emma Grace

- Finally getting a good job that I love!

- Our family vacation to Disney

Things I'd like to do in 2008:

- lose some weight and get in shape (at least some other shape than the lumpy one I'm in right now)

- cook more -- I have all these cookbooks and I need to use them. I'm going to try and make at least one or two new things a month

- use our wedding china more (in 5 years, we've used it twice. seriously. and who says you can't eat pizza on china???)

- take a few mini family trips

- be OK with turning 35 (I just realized that my birthday in '08 will put me within 5 years of 40. yikes.)

I'm sure there's more....but I'm typing this while having a conversation with my almost-4-year-old. It makes it rather difficult to concentrate.

Anyway....I hope everyone has a happy new year!
