It's been 3 days since Christmas and I'm about all holidayed out (yes, that is a word, in fact).
I am tired of holiday food. All holiday food. If I don't see another piece of kielbasa or a cheeseball or Honeybaked ham for MONTHS, well it will still be too soon.
I'm going to start eating Special K for every meal and see if I can really lose those 6 lbs in two weeks.
I firmly believe that all kids toys should not be attached to the box with a ZILLION twist ties. I swear it takes 3 hours to unbox all those damn toys. Save the planet, avoid boxes for kids toys. Better yet, screw the planet...just save the sanity of all parents everywhere -- stop with the twist ties and plastic attachment thingys. Geesh.
I'm so ready to take down the christmas decorations. Actually, I was ready on Christmas Day, but I figured the kids might revolt, so I'm waiting. Until tomorrow. I used to get depressed when we took the decorations down - then I grew up and had kids and had this insane desire to get my house back to "normal" as soon as humanly possible. Whatever normal means.
I need a bigger house. The girls received so MANY toys that we have no where to put them. Don't they make small toys for kids? Why do mine have every LARGE toy available?
My best gift? The garnet "mother's ring" from Kevin. L.O.V.E. it! The second best gift? The 2 "Calvin & Hobbes" books from the girls.
New Year's Eve is in a few days. I was going to buy some Asti with which to toast the new year, but who am I kidding? I'll be in bed by 10:30 p.m.
So, happy new year to all.
please keep us posted on the Special K diet. ;) i'm also holidayed out!
