Today's "Feast"

Appetizer: Have you ever played a practical joke on anyone? If so, what did you do and who was your victim?
Yes. In college, a few of my friends and I emptied out another friend's room of all his belongings, except for the college issue bed, and left an authentic form that stated everything he owned was "illegal" under the rules of the dorm and we put all his stuff on the front lawn of the dorm. He totally freaked out....but then realized it was a joke.

Soup: What do your salt and pepper shakers look like?
They are red, LeCrueset and look like little water pitchers.

Salad: Where is the next place you plan to visit (on vacation or business)?
We might take a mini-vacation to Mackinac Island/City, Michigan this summer.

Main Course: What kind of lotion or cream do you use to keep your hands from getting too dry?
I like Philosophy's "Time on Your Hands"

Dessert : Make up a dessert, tell us its ingredients, and give it a name.
Chocolate cheesecake with peanut butter sauce as a topping with more chocolate on top of that. I'd call it "The Cure for Everything That Ails You" Cheesecake.

Join in, won't you?

I let my friend take about a million stupid pictures of herself with my camera phone making ugly faces. Then on her birthday I made signs with the pictures on them, her name, and posted them all the way down the main street and up the expressway.

Soup: What do your salt and pepper shakers look like?
I LOVE queer ones in the shapes of animals or people. The campier the better.

Salad: Where is the next place you plan to visit (on vacation or business)?
I'd like to take Athena to Florida to visit her Big Papa.

Main Course: What kind of lotion or cream do you use to keep your hands from getting too dry?
    Shiseido Benefiance Hand Cream

Dessert : Make up a dessert, tell us its ingredients, and give it a name.
White chocolate cake with white chocolate mousse frosting. I'd call it "Mama's Chocolate Cake that DOESN'T Give her Migraines."

  2. Practical Joke:
In college a couple of my friends and I found at night a disgusting old dirty mattress on the side of the road. We put gloves on, strapped the mattress to the back of a NEON and drove it 6 blocks back to our apartments. We then placed it on the balcony of our friends two-story apartment and waited. They were SO grossed out. It was funny at the time, but after the fact I was disgusted that I even touched this or let it get close to me so the joke was a bit on me too!! (oh to be young and in college!)

P.S. Oh, just b/c I did it to fellow blogger M. I took the ball part of her computer mouse out and watched her try to figure out why her mouse wouldn't work...hehehe!

Salt & Pepper: They are the disposable twist/grind S&P shakers you get from the store.

Visit: Who the heck knows. I would like our next big trip to be to Ireland in maybe a year or so.

Lotion: Rite Aid pure vitamin E lotion and Bath & Body works body butter.

Dessert: The ultimate Strawberry shortcake. Let the strawberries soak in a really sweet wine and sugar for a day, then put over a piece of angel food cake or other cake product of your choice (my husband suggests twinkies), pour strawberries and juice over cake product, add tons chocolate shavings, then tons of whipped cream. HEAVEN!!!

  3. Joke: One April Fools, I worked in a hospital. I mimicked a coworkers awful handwriting and made another coworker think this first person left them 6 extra patients to see the next day. She was so ticked off at that other person, huffing and puffing and calling her names. The joke didn't last long because the other two of us, in on the joke, began laughing so hard we were crying.

Salt/Pepper: some glass, grinding ones from Williams Sonoma.

Visit: my husband and I (minus kids) are going to Chicago in a few weeks for his friend's wedding. Its our first trip we've ever been on alone (never took a honeymoon!)

Lotion: My hands are so dry, you'd think I didn't use any. But I use whatever is around.

Dessert: Some type of fruit crepe with nutella on it. Which I already make. But somehow I'd pile multiple on top of each other and call it "My kids are screamin and I can't hear em crepes."

  4. Practical Joke: in college there was this VERY real looking dummy/doll thing named "Jack". I put it in a friend's closet and in a friend's really tall loft (pretty dangerous looking back). That thing was SO freaky!

Salt and Pepper: mine are from my grandma - little glass ones that sit in a little metal leaf thing. cute.

Visit: i'm going to see blogger friend, Two Pretzels, in Cabo San Lucas NEXT WEEK!! i'd like to go to europe this summer (greece?)

Hand lotion: always use the cheap Suave stuff. i hate everything else. Aveda Hand Relief in my purse.

Dessert: really anything with triple or quadruple chocolate. and i'll call it Saving Grace. or something stupid. i suck at titling things!

  5. Practical Joke: I think one of my favorites is when we put fellow-blogger W.K.'s fav stuffed animal (Kitty) all over the office and took pictures of her doing different things. Using the copier, etc. (I'd love to see those photos again.)

Salt and Pepper Shakers: Mine are boring. In Cabo: clear glass, stainless steel lids. In Toledo: Longaberger. I believe they're yellow, but I can't remember.

Next place I plan to visit: Toledo, Ohio March 20-27.

Lotion on my hands: Not too dry here. Bliss spa's lemongrass lotion.

Dessert: Crushed up reece's peanut butter cups, on a warm brownie, with carmel syrup and chocolate syrup and ready-whip.

    The name? "Five Lbs."

  7. Practical Joke: Yeah, the one that was played on me that W.K. mentioned.Boo! I fell for it. I don't tend to play jokes on people because I'm always afraid of getting "gotten". Revenge is not always fun.

Salt and pepper shakers: we have multiple, glass ones on the stove and cool, modern white and silver ones on the table.

Next visit spot: Hmm, that's still up in the air. Florida perhaps.

Lotion: Wow, I need lotion in the worst way, I have dry, cracked and bloody hands. My sister-in-law had some Vaseline of sorts that I used last weekend and my hands are still soft. I'm going to get some of that.

Dessert: I'd like to eat what Nadja is making and I would add peanut butter sauce to it. And call it "white chocolate is better than regular chocolate. with peanut butter"
