Appetizer: Invent a new flower; give it a name and describe it.
The "Olivia Rose" - it's pink w/ purple tips. (and named after my first-born)
Soup: Name someone whom you think has a wonderful voice.
Singing: Josh Groban; Speaking: James Earl Jones
Salad: On a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being highest, how clean do you keep your car?
HA! I have 2 kids....my car is probably a 2. And that's on a good day.
Main Course: How do you feel about poetry?
I'm rather neutral about it.
Dessert: What was the last person/place/thing you took a picture of?
The last photo I took was of my girls one day last week.
Come in from the rainy day outside...and join in today's Feast.
Flower:
ReplyDeleteA Jennilily. It would resemble a stargazer lily but smaller and come up slightly more into a "cup" shape like an Easter lily. It would have different shades of green starting with the darkest in the center and the lightest on the tips.
Voice:
I love love Anthony Hopkins and Dennis Hopper's voices! Two of my favs! Singing, John Hiatt.
Clean Car:
Um, like a 3. It is SO gross. I need to do some spring cleaning on my car.
Poetry:
Somethings I like but many thing I think are way to cheesy. I don't care for cheesy poetry. I like more nontraditional poetry.
Picture:
My cats....I am always taking pictures of them.
Flower:
ReplyDeleteAn Athenarose. It would be white with sparkly tips.
Voice:
Singer: Donovan. Talker: James Earl Jones, absolutely.
Clean Car:
I'll give it a 1, but it's actually more like a -625. I mean we're talking bad. The ONLY way in which it has improved over the last 17 months is I've quit smoking.
Poetry:
I love old stuff, but to be perfectly honest if someone calls themselves a poet in my general vicinity I picture punching them. I don't know where the violence comes from.
Picture:
Athena hiding from me under the chair.
Appetizer: Invent a new flower; give it a name and describe it.
ReplyDeleteThe Brosesis (B-rose-sis). It would be a rose that from the center, which is dark almost Gothic red, get lighter and lighter until it got to the tips, snow white.
Soup: Name someone whom you think has a wonderful voice.
Singing: Dave Grohl. I never considered him having a good voice until I heard the songs "Stranger Things Have Happened" and "But, Honestly" off the Foo Fighters' new album (Get yours today!). Speaking: I am in love with Alan Rickman's and Gary Oldman's voices.
Salad: On a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being highest, how clean do you keep your car?
I don't have a car. Probably knowing me however, the car will be kept around an 8. Only because I'm obsessive about that kind of stuff.
Main Course: How do you feel about poetry?
I like the poetry that comes from writing song lyrics the best. But I will read old poets; I usually don't mind them.
Dessert: What was the last person/place/thing you took a picture of?
I took a picture of my freshman (I'm taking a class where I am a mentor/coach to new freshman) and myself next to a piece of student artwork at a gallery opening.
Flower: I couldn't come up with a flower prettier than a bright red tulip, so I will not even attempt it.
ReplyDeleteVoice: Spoken - whoever that guy is that does movie trailers, he's awesome. Singing: Michael Buble or Joe Cocker.
Clean Car: I like to keep it about a 7.
Poetry: I really don't care for poetry. There's something so pretentious and fake about it. People write it and when it doesn't make any sense, they drum up some deep meaning about life and pretend like people just don't get them. Barf. I'd rather read a book.
Picture: I guess the last one would be a picture of our dog just sitting around looking cute with my phone camera.
Flower: I'm so fond of Gerbera daisies that I'd steal the copyright on them and name them Kristy daisies.
ReplyDeleteWonderful voice: Don't let my husband read this.... Matthew McConnoughey. I like his southern accent even though he is becoming a little too cheesy for me.
Clean car: Maybe a 6. I keep it pretty clean, but it gets kind of messy in between cleans.
Poetry: Dislike it. I wish I could like it. But I always felt like when we dissected it in English class.... Teacher, you are mad that we don't agree with the meaning. The original writer probably didn't even mean what you think they did!!!
Picture: My dad's 61st bday cake and him, my daughter and niece blowing out the candles.
(Better late than never right?)
ReplyDeleteFLOWER It would be an orchid called the, "Natalie" (after my first dog) and would never die. Nope. Never. It would be pink with brown accents.
Wonderful singing voice
Alison Krauss. I feel as if her voice is that of an angel.
car clean
Eh, a 7. The outside is ALWAYS dusty.
poetry
I think it's lovely for the people who get it. However me at a poetry reading? Probably not.
Picture of?
Chloe, my niece. Saturday.
(Interesting that none of us really like poetry...)
Why am I always delayed on these things? Here goes...
ReplyDeleteAppetizer: Invent a new flower; give it a name and describe it.
Sex Kittens *blush* which are pink daisies with a darker pink middle.
Soup: Name someone whom you think has a wonderful voice.
Alan Rickman, who was in Love Actually, has a great voice.
Salad: On a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being highest, how clean do you keep your car?
I wish I could say 10, but it is usually a 4 :(
Main Course: How do you feel about poetry?
My mom is a poet so I should say I love it, but I don't. I hate it.
Dessert: What was the last person/place/thing you took a picture of?
My "boys" G/Puppy playing soccer in the yard this weekend.
New Flower: i'm stumped.. can i pass?
ReplyDeleteWonderful Voice: my friend Kathy D. or my friend Justin C.
Car Cleanliness scale: 8 (would be a 9 if not for the dog hair that creeps in!)
Poetry: i don't really like to read or hear it being read and i don't like to write it.
Last picture: took one of my dog (today) as she was digging through my suitcase.
